The Department of Chemistry at Tunghai University invites applications for one full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.

Position

Full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position (rank commensurate with qualifications).

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral research experience and/or the ability to teach courses in English.

Area of Specialization

While applicants from all areas of chemistry are welcome, priority will be given to candidates who can support undergraduate and graduate teaching in Physical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.

Starting Date

August 1, 2026

Applicants should submit the following materials:

A cover letter and detailed curriculum vitae
A copy of the Ph.D. diploma and graduate transcripts (including master’s degree transcripts, if applicable). Foreign degrees must be accompanied by official verification of academic credentials.
A complete list of publications
A statement of teaching interests (including courses the applicant is prepared to teach and brief syllabi) and a research plan
Three letters of recommendation

For applicants at the Assistant Professor level, one letter must be from the Ph.D. dissertation advisor

All recommendation letters must be sent directly by the referees via email or sealed postal mail to:
