Faculty Position Announcement for the Department of Chemistry, Tunghai University

The Department of Chemistry at Tunghai University invites applications for two full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher, with one position each in Analytical Chemistry and Physical Chemistry.

Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a related field, preferably with postdoctoral research experience or the ability to support English-taught courses.

Areas of Expertise:

We seek candidates with expertise in Analytical Chemistry or Physical Chemistry, who can contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching as well as develop an active, externally funded research program.

Starting Date: August 1st, 2026

Application Materials Required:

  1. Cover letter and detailed curriculum vitae.
  2. Copy of Ph.D. degree certificate and transcripts from graduate school (including Master's program) (For foreign diplomas, proof of foreign credential verification is required).
  3. Complete list of academic publications.
  4. Teaching (including courses that can be taught and syllabi) and research plans.
  5. Three letters of recommendation (For those applying for Assistant Professor, one letter must be from the advisor of the Ph.D. dissertation. All letters of recommendation must be emailed directly by the referees or sent by post, sealed and labeled with the name of the applicant, to the Department Chair of Chemistry).
  6. Any other materials that would help to understand the applicant's background.

Application Deadline and Submission Method: Applications will be accepted from now until May. 10th, 2026, as evidenced by the postmark.
